| Bradford, OH - "The Sniper" Wayne Chinn and Chinn Motorsports made another "Crown Jewel" event over the weekend, by cracking the starting field at the $50,000 to win Dirt Track World Championship's held at Jim Neir's Kc-Raceway. Chinn is now amongst elite company, as one of the few drivers in the country to make the North South 100, World 100 and The DTWC this season.
Wayne started out his weekend by timing sixty fifth out of the one hundred and eighteen car field. He would line up seventh in his qualifying heat race and put on a high groove exhibition, as he would rally to the fourth position, one spot of out transferring to the A-Main. With his strong run in the heat race, the Erwin Dealership/C.J Rayburn Race Cars/PBM Performance/Sugar Creek Packaging/AWP of Ohio/JB Enterprises/ Hyatt Web Designs/Dodge/Rayburn started on the pole for the consolation event. "The Sniper' would bring the entire grandstand on their feet on the final lap by passing Tim Tungate going into turn three and barely holding him off at the finish line. In the feature, Chinn would stay out of trouble, and fighting a right rear tire problem to finish in the twentieth position.
This coming weekend Chinn Motorsports will sit idle in preparations for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series World Finals, which are being held at Lowes Motor Speedway, in Concord, NC. The first annual World Finals will be broadcast live on Speed Channel Saturday night, November 3rd. Check your local listings for times.
