Bradford, OH -
With the eyes of the racing world all fixated on Florence Speedway for the 25th Annual North South 100, "The Sniper" Wayne Chinn seized the opportunity to further staple his name as one of the nations fastest rising stars, by making the biggest race of his young career. The popular Bradford, Ohio native made his way into the feature event over eighty five of the nations best drivers and teams while receiving one of the loudest ovations of the night in front of the standing room only crowd.
Wayne would start the weekend qualifying 41st out of eighty six drivers, representing a remarkable sixteen states. This would line the Erwin Dealership/Sugar Creek Packaging/AWP of Ohio/Hyatt Web Designs/Dodge/Rocket up seventh in his qualifying heat race behind many professional level drivers including former World 100 winner Chub Frank and reigning Dream 100 champion Steve Casebolt JR. This would not deter "The Sniper" one bit as he fought his way to a 3rd place finish, and a guaranteed starting spot in the $50,000 to win event. Wayne would stay out of trouble and run a good race to bring his mount home 16th in the 100 lap feature event.
Chinn Motorsports would like to thank each and every one of our sponsors! Without you, Wayne could not be racing at the level he is right now and racing against the best in the business. Over the past three months, in races deemed "special," that paid $5,000 to win or more, Wayne has an average finish of 10th position in the thirty two events in this time span. In the past three years, Wayne has gone from a local Saturday night racer, to being competitive on a regional and national level. Thanks goes to those who have supported him along the way, we hope to continue to evolve our relationships and put your name in the lime light it deserves.
