Hilltop and Florence up next for "The Sniper"

Bradford, OH - Hilltop and Florence up next for "The Sniper" Chinn Motorsports made the trek to North Vernon, Indiana for Twin Cities Raceway Park's first of two O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Series events in 2007. "The Sniper" Wayne Chinn started on the pole of his ten lap qualifying heat, but was forced to retire early in the event after making contact with Patrick Sheltra, resulting in a blown tire. Wayne had to start at the tail end of the B-Main last chance qualifier and "sniped" off seven cars before falling just short of making the feature event.

Saturday night the team made their way back to Florence Speedway for their $2,000 to win season opener. Wayne kicked the night off by starting 9th in his heat race and worked his way to the 4th finishing position. After putting on a show in the heat race Wayne would start 7th in the feature race. Just a few laps into the race "The Sniper" had worked his way to the second position via an exciting run on the high side of the race track. With the crowd standing and in frenzy, Wayne began closing in on eventual winner "The Last Outlaw" Jesse James Lay. Bad luck would strike as the air cleaner came loose and blew off on lap twenty one. With some quick work from the Chinn Motorsports crew, Wayne was back on the track starting in 18th position with just thirteen laps remaining. Wayne would again toss the Erwin Dealership/AWP of Ohio/Rocket to the high side of the race track and brought home a respectable 8th place finish, much to the delight of the many Wayne Chinn fans in attendance at Florence.

Chinn Motorsports returns to action this weekend with Hilltop Speedway and Florence Speedway highlighting the schedule.
