During the qualifying heat race Chinn wound up with a fourth place finish, advancing to the feature event. “The Sniper” started the forty lap feature from outside the fifth row in the tenth position, but it didn’t take him long before he started picking off spots as he moved up to the eighth position in the first few laps. Chinn then moved around fast qualifier Bobby Wolter Jr. for the seventh position and started battling with Todd Coffman and Marty O’Neal for a top five.

A late race restart with seven laps to go gave “The Sniper” the opportunity he needed, as he worked the bottom of the race track and moved past both Coffman and O’Neal and into the fifth position. Chinn held his line and held off all challenges as he took the checker flag in fifth, bringing in another top five finish.
