Dirt Track World Cup Classic up next for "The Sniper"
Bradford, OH - Rain showers across the country left a lot of tracks closed on Friday night, but Chinn Motorsports headed to Attica Raceway Park for the second week in a row. “The Sniper” Wayne Chinn started off the evening by winning his qualifying heat race, but redrew a 10 to start the 25 lap feature from outside the fifth row.
As the green flag dropped “The Sniper” started to make his way forward, as he advanced up to the seventh position in the first few laps. A multi-groove surface provided two and three wide racing through the field as the Erwin Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Troy Ohio / Sugar Creek Packing /American Racer Tires #1 C.J. Rayburn Race Car got caught up in a cluster of cars and fell back as far as the twelfth position with a little over 10 laps remaining. A couple late caution flags set up a dash to the finish line.

In the final 10 laps “The Sniper” Wayne Chinn picked his way back through the field, as he used every piece of the track available, running the low side of turns one and two and blasting the high side in turns three and four. Chinn climbed back in to the top ten and kept moving forward as he took the fifth position with 3 laps to go and held on to claim another top 5 finish on the season.
Mother Nature claimed victory on Saturday as every track within a good traveling distance was canceled due to the rain.
This coming weekend Chinn Motorsports will head to Chillicothe, Ohio for the double header at KC Raceway. On Friday night there will be a $5,000 to win special event followed by the O’Reilly All Star “Dirt Track World Cup Classic” on Saturday paying $10,000 to win.
