Bradford, OH - The 34th Annual Indiana Icebreaker at Brownstown Speedway saw "The Sniper" Wayne Chinn picking his way through the field to earn a top 10 finish. On a cool March evening 61 entrants signed in to take part in the annual Indiana Icebreaker, sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Series. "The Sniper" struggled during qualifying and timed in 48th quickest, so the team made changes to the setup for the qualifying heat race. From the eighth starting spot, Wayne moved up to the fifth position by the checkered flag, leaving him to run a last chance consolation race.

The Erwin Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Troy Ohio / Sugar Creek Packing /American Racer Tires #1 C.J. Rayburn Race Car would start the consolation from the fourth position, where only the top two transfer to the feature event. At the drop of the green "The Sniper" jumped into second place and set his sights on the leader, Dale McDowell. A battle for the lead would ensue, which saw McDowell running the high side and "The Sniper" on the bottom of the race track challenging for the lead. At the line it was McDowell that held off all attempts, as Wayne crossed the line second, the final transfer spot to the feature.
